What is Arm Liposuction?
Arm liposuction is a cosmetic surgery whose purpose is to thin and improve the silhouette of the curve of the arm.
The lipoplasty of the arms is suitable for women and men who can not lose the localized fat of the arm. Indeed, when sport or diet are not enough to remove fat cells, liposuction is an effective and definitive solution.
Finally, arm liposuction can be combined with an arm lift.

Procedure of the Arm Liposuction
Length of Stay
A liposuction of the arms requires a stay of one week in Hungary.
The liposuction of the arms can be done under local anesthesia, under narcosis or under general anesthesia.
Duration of the Procedure
Arm liposuction lasts 1 hour. However, if it is performed in conjunction with an arm lift, then the procedure lasts 2 hours.
The incisions are short, about 3 mm, and are at the level of natural folds to remain as unobtrusive as possible.
First, a liquid is injected into the area to be treated. This facilitates the detachment of the fat. Then the fat cells are extracted using a cannula connected to a suction pump. To do this, we usually use a hydrojet assisted liposuction.
Closing the Incisions
Finally, the surgeon places sutures and bandages on the incisions.
If the arm liposuction takes place under general anesthesia, the patient spends the first night in the clinic.
Recovery after Arm Liposuction
After liposuction of the arms, a cuff type compression garment is to be worn continuously for 6 weeks. It can be removed during your showers.
The stitches will be removed 7 days after the liposuction of the arms.
Bruises disappear after 10 to 14 days and swelling will be present for 6 to 8 weeks.
During the 2 weeks postoperative, physical activities are to be avoided. You can recommend the sport only 4 weeks after the liposuction of the arms.
Then the sauna, solarium or sunbathing are possible after 8 weeks.
The pain after liposuction of the arms is not significant. In all cases, postoperative medications will be prescribed. As for example anti-inflammatories.
To avoid any risk of venous thrombosis, injections will be needed. Wearing compression garments will also reduce this risk.
Finally, after 3 weeks, lymphatic massages are to be done, at the rate of 2 sessions per week for 5 weeks. This will prevent an irregularity in the surface of the body.
Arm Liposuction Results
The results of a liposuction of the arms are for the long term. In fact, the fat cells targeted during the procedure have not been recreated by the body. In order to maintain the results, it will be necessary to avoid putting back weight by maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
